Cas Stormers excel in Open Water swims

Casuarina Storm swimmers have been braving the cooler water to swim at the 2017 – 2018 Open Water Meets at the Darwin Waterfront. Well done to all swimmers who have competed, some for the very first time.

Casuarina Storm swimmers are finishing in the top 3 for almost all distances at each meet so far. Results are posted after each meet on the SNTI website under competitions. Click HERE to go to the results page.

2014 Australian Open Water Championships, Geelong: By Jenny Culgan

McDonald's 9 and Under Meet 3 - 15 Feb 2014: By Alicia Boyle

Sixteen of Casuarina Storm’s 9 and Unders headed to the Palmerston Pool on Saturday 15th February for the third meet in the McDonald’s series. Many thanks to Natasha Byrne who stepped in to the coaching role for the afternoon. It was fantastic to see Caitlyn Houlihan, Pearl Krantz, Cooper Lay and Helaina Smid racing in the Orange and Blue for the first time. Congratulations to Pearl who won all her 5-6yo girl 25m events in her first meet! Fielding four teams in the Mixed 7 & Over 200m freestyle relays was exciting with Cas Storm finishing in 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th position. All the training and the practice on their starts and finishes is paying off with many young swimmers recording PBs. Well done! SA State Age Championships - A summary by Anna Bergs

In January a team of 10 swimmers (Rochelle, Sam, Kyra, Jacqui, Jesse, Max, Teegan, Emily, Rachel and I) competed in the State Age Championships that were held in Adelaide. Some of the highlights included; swimming in the Olympic pool, staying with the team and team building exercises. It was also good to see the speed and technique of other swimmers around Australia. Thanks again to Grant and Mel for looking after us while we were there. I recommend this trip as a goal for next year. Anna
