OUR SQUADS


Crocs Squad: This squad is the first squad out of learn to swim. Swimmers must be able to complete 25m of freestyle and backstroke as a minimumUp to 3 sessions per week.

 

Bronze Squad: First level of 50m training. Swimmers are able to complete 50m of freestyle and 50m of backstroke at individual times. Bronze is the first training level for squads. Up to 3 sessions per week.

 

Teen Fit:  Teen Fit is for swimmers 15 & over who want to maintain their fitness but not complete at any meets.

 

Silver Squad: Swimmers can swim all four strokes with proficiency.  Minimum 25m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke, 100m Backstroke, 100 freestyle.  This squad builds on all aspects of your swimming ability including technical parts such as starts/turns and finishes. Swimmers at this level can to participate in local, regional and state level meets. Up to 5 sessions per week.

 

Gold Squad:  This squad is for the more serious swimmers who are looking to improve their endurance and overall fitness to competently swim up to 5km in a session.  Must be competent in all four swim strokes.  It is for those more serious competitors who are aiming at state and national level competitions. Unlimited sessions per week.

Keep up to date by joining Casuarina Storm on Team AppTeam App is free to download on Apple or Android and is the coach's main line of communication.  Download the app and search for Casuarina Storm and send through a request to join. This will keep everyone up to date with current training issues and will also communicate details for meets as well.

 

Swimmers who wish to join a Casuarina Storm squad should speak to Head Coach Rob West who will assess which squad is the most suitable. Please email the Club Secretary if you would like to organise a time to meet.
