How to enter a Swimming NT Meet

ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS

The process is very simple and consists of the following steps:

1. Locate the meet on the Upcoming Meets page https://nt.swimming.org.au/page.php?id=79

2. Select the Detail icon and follow the instructions. You will need to know your Username & Password, which your Club's Registrar can provide you with.

3. Once you have logged on, all the events your swimmer has qualified for will be displayed and you can choose those you wish to enter. At the end of the process you will have to pay the meet entry fee with your Credit/Debit Card.

4. Entries will open & close at the times listed on the Meet Detail Page; once entries are closed it is not possible to enter any further events.

5. If you are entering with a Time Trial time** (if you haven't swum the event in competition before) you should enter initially with a NT (no time) and then email the information (swimmer's name, event and time trial time) to the designated Meet Director.

**Please arrange any required Time Trials with your coach well in advance. Do not leave it to the last minute as you may be withdrawn if the information is submitted too late.

Important notes for NT Open and Age Championships

Eligible swimmers for the 2018 Vorgee NT Open & Age Championships (February 9 to 11, 2018) must have entry times gained at an official SNTI approved meet. More information about the NT Open and Age can be found on the Swimming NT website www.nt.swimming.org.au

Click HERE to see the qualifying times for 2017. Qualifying times for 2018 have not yet been posted.

If you have any questions regarding any swimming issues please contact the Club Registrar via email casuarinastorm@gmail.com

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU FORWARD PLAN YOUR SEASON TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE OFFICIAL TIMES TO ENTER YOUR EVENTS AT THE NT CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FEBRUARY. Please check your progress on a regular basis and don’t leave qualifying until the last meet.

At a Swim Meet

Most meets allow ½ to 1 hour for pre-race warm up, so they would advertise that the meet begins at 4.00pm for a 4.30pm start, this being 4.00 for pool warm up and 4.30 for the commencement of competition. Coaches ask that you arrive 10 minutes earlier than the pool warm up time to allow for stretches and a team meeting.  Please be punctual!

Casuarina Storm assembles on the kiosk side of the pool near to the operation booth.

Any withdrawals from events need to be reported to the Team Manager at the beginning of the night.  If you are unable to attend the carnival you are asked to contact the Team Manager via email at entriescasstorm@gmail.com. All queries and concerns regarding the competition should be directed to the Team Manager on the day.

During the Meet, the Team manager will call your child's name when it is time to marshal. However, it is also the responsibility of the parent and swimmer to know when to marshal for their events.

You need to bring: bathers, 2 caps/2 goggles (in case one breaks), towel, water bottle, healthy snacks.

Attending carnivals provides opportunities for our hard training swimmers to perform so please make every effort to attend as many as possible.
